Coordinate a chant, a walkout or a display across a whole stand
A chant that starts with ten people dies. A chant that starts with five hundred takes the ground. Crowd tells you which one you've got before kick-off.
The problem
Supporters' groups already agree on the idea. What they can't do is prove the numbers. A forum thread with 300 replies of "yes" doesn't tell you how many will be in the stand, and a coordinated protest that only half the crowd joins looks worse than none at all.
Why a threshold fixes it
- Set the number that makes the moment visible: 500 for a chant, 2,000 for a minute's silence or a walkout.
- Anonymous joins mean fans can commit to a protest against the owners without putting their name to it.
- Share the same link on the forum, the fan podcast, the supporters' trust newsletter and the matchday WhatsApp.
- The deadline can be an hour before kick-off, so everyone knows on the way to the ground.

How to do it
- 1
Pick the moment and the minimum number to make it land.
- 2
Create the action with the fixture, the minute and a deadline shortly before kick-off.
- 3
Post the link wherever the fanbase talks. Ask the supporters' trust to share it.
- 4
If it hits, the page shows it reached and the stand knows. If not, nobody starts a chant alone.
Questions
- Can rival fans mess with the count?
- They can join, and yes that would inflate it. In practice the deadline and the public nature of the count make this rare, and a red card from real supporters is a visible signal. If it matters, share the link only in supporters'-only spaces.
- Can we use this for an away day?
- Yes. "If 60 of us say yes, we'll book the coach" is exactly the kind of threshold Crowd is for. Pair it with a group buy once it fills.
- Does it work for other sports or non-league?
- Any sport, any level. The threshold just needs to match the size of the crowd.
- What happened to the World Cup page?
- It was a temporary landing page for the tournament. This page replaces it and covers club, international and non-league use all year round.
